About

Hello! I'm Seth, a software engineer from San Diego now studying in Boston. My journey started at 12 when I built my first photography website to bypass expensive hosting fees - a small decision that sparked a lifelong passion for creating meaningful technology.

Since then, I've built over 40 projects and worked with fantastic teams at Smart Border Coalition, BajaBound, and now Renavest, where I'm working to make financial therapy more accessible. What drives me? Using technology to solve real problems that matter.

At Tufts, I'm combining Computer Science with Philosophy because I believe the biggest challenges need both technical skills and deep thinking. When I'm not coding, you'll find me running through Boston, watching economic and policy YT videos, or listening to Prof G Markets while planning my next project.

Why

Started as a financial literacy platform for students, but something wasn't clicking. After a 3-hour call with our CEO exploring why, we realized financial therapy could create deeper impact. Many people need more than just information – they need guidance from someone who understands both finance and emotional wellbeing.

What I Did

Built and led our engineering team with a focus on creating tools therapists actually want to use. Spent time understanding their needs, shaped our product direction, and made tough calls on technical architecture to support our mission.

Impact

Now in talks with 4 companies to bring financial therapy to their employees as a health benefit. Growing recognition in Boston's fintech community as a platform that genuinely helps people achieve financial wellbeing.

Technical

Built mobile app initially focused on video content delivery, pivoted to enterprise web platform for better market fit.

Hackathons

i like building things

Hackathons have been one of my favorite parts of college - the rush of building something from scratch in 24 hours, fueled by passion (and maybe too much coffee). They're where I've met some of my closest friends, learned technologies I use every day, and discovered just how much you can create when you're surrounded by people who love building as much as you do.

Each project has taught me something new, whether it was diving into ML for the first time at Berkeley, figuring out how to pitch at Harvard, or learning that pizza actually can be breakfast food. These experiences have shaped not just how I code, but how I think about turning ideas into reality.
